Please tell us about yourself
I live in South Africa. I am happily married with one child, three cats, and my husky baby. Not only that, but I love my family to the moon and back. They are my strength, my comfort, and my joy. They give me a purpose for living every day.
Why did you choose Appen?
I choose Appen because being a wife, a mother and a caretaker who works full-time away from home can become exhausting. I take whatever they give me whenever the tasks become available. The tasks are all quite enjoyable.
When do you do your work?
Whenever the job requires me to do the work. Sometimes, I’ll start late morning or later throughout the day, or even throughout the night. Anytime works, and that’s why I appreciate the working conditions because I can work with ease.
What is your favorite part about being a Contributor?
It’s exciting to do something you enjoy and at your own pace. The satisfaction of being a Contributor is what motivates me. It also gives me pride to know I am part of a community who’s making a difference in the world. We are evolving every day and technology is the lead to a smarter future. The specific projects I choose to work on require skills and knowledge that I possess and more. Knowledge is power and it empowers me to deliver quality work.
What has Appen enabled you to do that you couldn’t before?
It enabled me to spend more time with my family and my pets.
